AI Pilot to Adoption

Proving the Value of AI in Clinical Practice

The organisation wanted to test whether an AI clinical scribe could deliver enough value to justify investment, while also understanding the risks and how well it would fit into day-to-day clinical work. They needed evidence before making a decision, not assumptions.

CIDI led the pilot from the outset, working with senior stakeholders to define a clear hypothesis and identify the measures that would show whether the solution was delivering as expected. We supported vendor onboarding, user training, and day-to-day pilot activity, while also working closely with clinicians to embed the solution into their workflows. Where needed, we adjusted processes so the technology could be used effectively in practice, then translated the findings into a business case and rollout plan.

The pilot showed clear benefits in time saved and reduced cognitive load for clinicians, while also clarifying where AI adds value and where human judgement remains essential. This gave the organisation the confidence to approve the business case and move ahead with wider adoption and a practical operating model for scale.

If you’re exploring how AI can support your workforce in a practical, responsible way, we can help design pilots that turn uncertainty into clear, actionable insight.
